Findings include: a) An inspection of the dietary department, during the noon meal on 12/11/10 at 12:20 p.m., noted one (1) male dietary aide (Employee #3) was assisting with the service of the noon meal. Observation found Employee #3 had approximately 1/2 inch hair growth on his lip and chin with no beard guard in use to prevent his facial hair from potentially contaminating the food being served. Further observation found another male dietary employee (Employee #4) making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in an adjacent room. Observation found Employee #4 had facial hair on his lip, chin, and along his jaw with no beard guard in place. When asked why he was not wearing a hair restraint on his beard and mustache, he stated that he had only worked there about three (3) weeks and had never been told he needed to wear anything on his face. | 2014-04-01 |
