Based on a review of dietary employees' food handler certificates and staff interview, the facility failed to assure all of dietary employees had current food handler certificates as required by their County health department. One (1) of thirteen (13) dietary employees reviewed did not have a current certificate. This practice had the potential to affect all residents receiving on an oral diet. Employee identifier: #47. Facility census: 101. Findings include: a) Employee #47 Review of the dietary employees' food handler certificates, on [DATE], found Employee #47's food handler certificate had expired in [DATE]. The dietary manager (Employee #149), when interviewed regarding this finding, stated she was aware this employee's food handler certificate had expired. She stated she would ensure this employee attended the County health department's next available class. Employee #149 confirmed that Employee #47 worked on full-time on a regular basis. She stated they "must have missed her". This employee repeated the food handlers class during the survey on [DATE], and she was issued a current certificate at that time. . | 2015-06-01 |
