cms_ME: 1909

In collaboration with The Seattle Times, Big Local News is providing full-text nursing home deficiencies from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). These files contain the full narrative details of each nursing home deficiency cited regulators. The files include deficiencies from Standard Surveys (routine inspections) and from Complaint Surveys. Complete data begins January 2011 (although some earlier inspections do show up). Individual states are provides as CSV files. A very large (4.5GB) national file is also provided as a zipped archive. New data will be updated on a monthly basis. For additional documentation, please see the README.

(#89) Finding: Resident #89's Care Area Assessment (CAA) summary, dated 1/27/15, was coded to indicate that the identified problem of dental would be addressed on the resident's care plan. The surveyor was unable to locate a care plan addressing Resident #89's assessed dental problems. The surveyor discussed the lack of care plan development with the Unit Manager, in an interview on 9/17/15 at 2:30 p.m., and the Unit Manager confirmed a care plan was not developed. In an interview with the surveyor, the Director of Nursing confirmed these findings on 9/17/15 at 2:45 p.m.	2018-09-01
