Findings include: During an observation on 6/29/16 at 10:50 a.m., Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) BB administered one (1) unit of [MEDICATION NAME] R insulin subcutaneously in the right arm of resident #104. However, during the insulin administration, the LPN did not wear gloves. During an observation on 6/29/16 at 11: 00 a.m., LPN BB administered eight (8) units of [MEDICATION NAME]subcutaneously in the right arm of resident #77. However, during the insulin administration, the LPN did not wear gloves. On 6/30/16 at 9:50 a.m., the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) confirmed that the nurse should have worn gloves when administering insulin injections. | 2020-01-01 |
